BigStockPhoto: An Alternative
to High-Priced Stock Photography

 
BigStockPhoto provides designers with an alternative to high-priced stock photography, in addition to providing photographers with a marketplace to sell their work.  Why pay $50-$100 for a stock photo when you can get it for about $1.50? Power to the people!

There are a few other similar sites, such as iStockPhoto, but we have found BigStockPhoto to be one of the best with one of the best search facilities we have seen, allowing one to quickly find the photos/images they need! And their images are truly royalty-free ... you won't be breaking any copyright laws using their images on your boxshots!

How does it work? There is no membership fee (you can even search for photos without signing up). Whenever you are ready, you simply purchase credits; anywhere from 1 to 300. Each image you download will then use up one of your credits (or two credits if you want the larger size).
